The 2015 winter kitemakers retreat featured famous kitemakers Jon Trennepohl and Glenn Davison presenting their most up-to-date award-winning kites. Jon had just invented a brand new sport to go with this fabulous new kite. See it here:

Jon’s prize-winning kite at AKA’s 2014 National Convention:

Jon has designed a special kite for the 2015 MKS retreat, one that is able to fly either indoors or outdoors depending upon the tensioning of the kite.  This is a design made especially for the MKS retreat and is based on his Suspended Wing Delta kite that Jon received special prizes for Structural Design and Innovation at the Nags Head AKA Convention.   The MKS version is an incredible kite, particularly due to its versatility.  Jon will be providing kits for this design; each kit will cost about $90 and you will have some choices regarding colors and fabric. Please let us know ASAP if you want one. 

Glenn will be teaching his techniques for miniature kites.  He plans to present instructions for building miniature Hargrave box kites and dragon kites at the retreat.  The fee for these kits is $10 for both kites; Glenn will provide all supplies and tools required to build these kites.  Other kites by Glenn can be seen at http://art.kitingusa.com/.
