We are serious about kitebuilding and kiteflying workshops for hobby kite fliers and community organizations. MKS offers kitebuilding and kiteflying workshops for groups, young and old, who are interested in kites.  MKS members are also instrumental in organizing and working at the National Cherry Blossom Kite Festival. The Maryland Kite Society gives demonstrations of kite flying (we've flown kites at wine festivals, balloon festivals, community days, and many other venues).  We also teach kitemaking, most commonly to groups of children. We've done this in schools, for cub and girl scouts, at parties, and at many other events. Please contact us if you're interested in more information about kite displays or making kites.
